Summary
Sessional role (hours between 9:00-15:00) paying above National Minimum Wage. Based at the organisation's centre and satellite sites in two London boroughs. Responsible to the Alternative Provision Academy Officer. Supervises young people aged 11-16. Provide 1:1, small-group and classroom support to help disengaged learners re-engage with education. Duties include mentoring, learning support, behaviour management, progress tracking, and administration. Requires Maths and English Level 2, safeguarding qualification, experience with young people, and strong interpersonal skills. Desirable: coaching, teaching assistant, youth work, or mentoring qualifications; experience in AP/PRU/school settings; SEND/SEMH experience. Personal qualities: positive, reliable, empathetic, resilient, and committed to safeguarding and equality.
